Bianca Collings As an orchestral harpist she was former first chair for the Utah Youth and University of Washington Symphony Orchestra as well as a second for the Salt Lake and New American World Symphony Orchestra. She has performed as a soloist and in ensembles on stages in the United States, Canada and Taiwan. She has also won numerous state competitions and in 1996 was a finalist in the AHS National Competition. She is a former Miss Emerald City and winner of the talent award in the Miss Washington competition. After graduating from the University of Washington, she pursued her love of teaching and opened up studios in Seattle and Maple Valley teaching children and adults using the Suzuki philosophy of music education. She is an active member of the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle and serves as President of the Seattle chapter of the American Harp Society. She currently lives in Maple Valley with her husband and two children. |
